Daisy dukes are short, very tight cut off jeans. Very short. Revealing, sexy. They are jeans shorts in effect.

Daisy Dukes came from the character Daisy Mae Duke from the TV series "The Dukes Of Hazard". She was a character from that series played by the actress Catherine Bach. She regularly wore cut off jeans that eventually became known as daisy dukes, and the name has stuck.

More recently the song "Dazzey Duks" appeared by rap artist Duice. This was 1992 and the album cover featured shots of 4 women dressed in "Daisy Duke" cutoff jeans.

The reason for wearing of daisy dukes is to emphasise the look of the - um - bottom. And the legs.

So, you're after plus size daisy dukes. We'll have to say that we haven't in all of our plus size travels, found a retailer who sells a range of plus size daisy dukes. There are other "daisy duke" items for sale, such as tshirts with "daisy duke" logos on them, but real plus size daisy dukes? No, we can't find them.

Does this mean that you can't get plus size daisy dukes? No of course it doesn't. The real daisy dukes were just denim jeans cut off very short. So, if you want the genuine daisy duke look take a pair of your plus size jeans, cut the legs off short, and you've got plus size daisy dukes. Just the way Barbara Back wore them, so you've got the authentic look.
