The plus size minidress. What is it and why do we want one?

Well the minidress is just a version of the miniskirt. But instead of being a skirt it's a dress. The whole point of the minidress or miniskirt is to show off the legs.

Well that's not quite accurate. The miniskirt originated in the 1960s. It was made popular by Mary Quant in London and soon became a worldwide fashion. But ejven then the miniskirt wasn't as short as some of the miniskirts and minidresses of today, it often came just above the knee, which at that time was extremely daring.

But then it wasn't just about showing off the legs, it was about womens right to dress how they wanted, it was as much a feminist thing as a style thing.

But now it's often about showing off the legs.

So before you head on out in a plus size minidress have a think about whether your legs are one of your best features, if not then maybe dress some other way that highlights your best features rather than those that are not your best. This applies to all plus size clothes, not just womens plus size mini dresses. Buy to accentuate your best features.
