Where Can I Find Western Plus Size Jeans? I'm Desperate.Western plus size jeans are perfect for the larger woman who is into riding, or just looking good. And don't despair if you're a plus sized woman, it is possible to find plus size women's western jeans. But first, some simple rules to help you find those perfect western plus size jeans, or any jeans for that matter. Because whether it's riding jeans in plus sizes or western jeans or just your common or everyday jeans for garden wear, there's some simple tips to help in your purchase. Stick with the well known colors. Blue and black are the most common colors for jeans because they work. There may be all sorts of colors in western jeans but most you'll see are - blue or black. The darker colors give you the slimmest look. They also help to make your leg look longer, which helps you look slimmer. To make your leg look longer try and find jeans with either no pockets or slit pockets, these help accentuate the line between your hip and your foot, making the legs look longer. For plus size western jeans or riding jeans find stretch denim. They stretch to cover the wider bits a little better and if you are riding they are more comfortable to wear. Take that extra time to make sure that you get jeans that fit well. Baggy jeans and jeans that are too tight aren't a good look, and can be uncomfortable. If you don't know your size it can be difficult. Jeans sizing is an art more than a science, so take your time to find your size for the jeans that you are going to buy. Many good plus size online retailers have comprehensive return policies that allow you to return your purchase if it doesn't fit. If your thighs are larger don't go for the jeans with fading on the thigh, it highlights your thighs. And great plus size western jeans go with boots.Think about the boots you're going to wear with your jeans. Are you going to wear your jeans inside or outside your boots? Most women who wear western plus size jeans wear boots, you've probably got yours already, so make sure your jeans suit your boots. If your jeans are going over your boots make sure you get a "boot cut" pair, so that they really do go over your boots. You'll probably need a leg opening of at least 18 inches. If you're really making sure your jeans are "western" then the jeans should be 3 or 4 inches longer than your inseam, this allows you some extra length when you're riding so that your jeans don't ride up too high over your boots. And a lot of cowboys starch their jeans well to make the crisp crease, or even have font crease put in. Try some starch. Wear a great belt with your jeans, and avoid those low cut ("low rise") jeans all the young women like to wear now. They aren't flattering to the larger figure and aren't that comfortable. Opt for mid or high rise jeans and hold them up with an eye catching belt. A good looking belt helps to attract attention to the waist, and some plus size women with a large bust use this technique to draw attention away from the bust. And you know what? There can be very little difference between some "western" jeans and some "ordinary" jeans. Technically the difference is the boot cut, but if your jeans go over your boots well then it works for you. They're " western" if you got them in a western shop, right? Well who knows where you bought them. If you add a great western hat to your outfit you look western, even though you may not have been able to find the perfect plus size western jeans and had to settle for an "ordinary" pair that look remarkably similar. It's the total look that makes "western" not necessarily just the jeans. Why not go for a classic western belt to hold your jeans up, chances are you'll get lots of attention to your good looking belt and no one will really notice the jeans. Get a belt with at least a 2 or 3 inch buckle, or even bigger. A great gold or silver buckle adds heaps to a belt, and therefore to your jeans. Add a great pair of western boots, perhaps over the jeans, and the outfit is complete. Now, where do you go to find those western plus size jeans? Firstly it's better to look online. That doesn't mean that there's dozens of places to go, but there is one to look at that we can suggest. We'd love to send you to a store where you can find dozens of plus size western jeans in all styles and cuts, and all colors, but the sad fact is that we haven't found a store like that. I suppose the plus size market in western jeans is a little undersupplied. Head on over to Sheplars. They have a modest range of western jeans, some up to size 24. There's stertch available too. And if you're happy to look at a good range of jeans that aren't so - well - western, then try Lane Bryant. They have one of the best ranges of plus size jeans around, including stretch.
